Are gradual fake tans (johnson's, nivea etc) safe to use in pregnancy?

I'm tooooooo hot in jeans but don't want people to have to suffer the sight of my milk bottles legs until I've got a bit of colour!

I was reading a lot of advice on this online, because my legs are so white they're practically luminous, and I need a bit of colour too! Apparently the cream fake-tans are fine (because they only react with your top layer of skin) but don't use the spray ones as you can inhale some of the chemicals.

If you do go ahead and use a cream, try the Dove one rather than Johnson's - the Johnson's one stains things whereas the Dove one gives a more even colour and doesn't stain IMHE.

I use Palmers natural bronzer, it soaks in quickly and evenly and as it's coco butter based makes my skin nice and soft :)

i read that pregnancy hormones can affect the way any type of fake tan works....but i am so pale that i have caved in and used one pretty much every day for the last 2 wks...and haven't had any problems. Been using Garnier Summerbody

Ah, thank you ladies! I'll look for Palmers or Dove tomorrow Smile

I am very fair skinned so I use the Dove for very fair skin. Thought I should mention it as I haven't tried the very tanned look one.
