Acne flare-up in pregnancy

I never had acne in adolescence but started getting bad skin in my mid twenties. It's particularly annoying in that my skin is also quite dry but sensitive so I tend not to use moisturiser.

It had cleared up pretty well in the last 2-3 years, but since getting pregnant I've started getting lots of pimples and spots, presumably because of the change in hormones.

I'm sort of resigned to it being this way while I'm pregnant (although any helpful tips wouldn't go amiss!) but I want to know if anyone else had this how long it took your skin to clear up after giving birth? (or if it didn't and I should find myself a really good dermatologist/concealer!)

I'd love to know the answer to this too jammy so am bumping. First thing I knew abt being pg, before the IB or the missed AF was a ENORMOUS zit on my chin, which didn't even try to heal for over a month. Suspect scarring irretrievable now, but have had more wee spots the last week or two as well and am starting to fear the worst. My pg book says no benzoic acid or salicylic acid-based treatments (although low-dose aspirin is given to high-risk pgs for unrelated reasons and that is acetylsalicic....??), and these are the only things that worked for AF and teenaged acne in the past... Annoying.

With my first pregnancy I had really bad acne on my face and back that started in the first trimester and continued right through until DD was at least 4 months Angry . Needless to say I wasn't very happy! However, I'm now 37 weeks pregnant with DD2 and have had only very mild acne thank goodness, so at least you can be reassured that even if it happens for you this time, you might not suffer with it again in subsequent pregnancies.

I have this problem too. All 3 pregnancies. I recently bought some Vichy products from boots called Norma derm (I think) which have def helped. Also doc prescribed me an ointment called zineryt which is a bit harsh on my skin but is ok in pregnancy.
