I need a wee!

Hello everyone, this may sound like a very silly problem but it's really making my life rather difficult!

I am 12 +1 weeks pregnant and sometimes, especially first thing in the morning, I can't wee. My bladder is obviously full and although it feels as if I am weeing nothing comes out! And even when I do manage to pass urine, it's like a very weak leak (like from a tap that's been left semi-open) as opposed to a full flow... (Too much information I know! Sorry!).

Has anyone experienced something similar? If so, any advice on how to reduce my discomfort?

I've not heard of this, hopefully someone will turn up who has - but maybe worth giving your MW a ring?

If you feel like you need to wee a lot and it hurts it could be a UTI, but that's all I can think of. If it was you would need to speak to MW/GP anyway and possibly have some anti-bs I'm not sure how they treat in pregnancy.

Thank you for your replies. I have done a urine test and there is no infection. My other option apparently could be the fact that my uterus is putting pressure on my bladder (as if it's 'squashing' it!).
I will definitely mention it to my MW as she may have a experience of this.
