Cramps in first few weeks

Hello everyone, I wonder if anyone can help me with their own experience/knowledge or just set my mind at rest!

I am 3 weeks pregnant, conceived through IUI (first attempt!) I can't really believe it is true even though I've done loads of pregnancy tests and they've come back positive. I am having a scan in 2 weeks time at the fertility clinic. The clinic have been amazing through all the treatment, counselling etc.

I have been having cramps for the last 2 weeks, they feel just like period pains, so much so that I have been going to the toilet expecting to see blood. I haven't had any bleeding but the pains are so weird and troubling. They last for 5-15 minutes but then go completely. Sometimes I have a day with only a few cramps, other days they come and go many times throughout the day. The pain has been so bad at night that I have woken up with it.

I don't have a fever, the pain is NOT in just one side and it's not continual but I just wondered if anyone else experienced anything like this as I am a bit scared and worried.

As well as the pain I also feel generally run down/under the weather with very little energy.

Sorry this has gone on for so long, but I'm a bit stressed and worried. Any advice anyone?

3 weeks since babies were inserted? if so it is normal in my experience. I had cramps on and off all the way through till now at almost 19 weeks.

cramps very normal - had them with my first pregnancy and with this one - mine eased at about 9 weeks. try not to worry and very good luck x

Cramps like this are usually related to implantation and the uterus starting to stretch and grow I think.

Had a m/c first time - no cramps, no warning.
This time (am now 39+5) had cramps for first 8-10 weeks and all was fine. Was also totally exhausted - probably more tired than I am now - I just felt pants for weeks and weeks. I think it's totally normal.

Good luck with the scan - and big congratulations!!!!!
