19 weeks - bump has shrunk?

Hello, I'm 19 weeks pregnant. Last week i had awful pains in the side of my bump which felt like brusing and pressure low down when i bent over. This week I feel much smaller and i'm in no discomfort at all. My bump which seemed huge last week has really shrunk. I still haven't felt any movement yet although my friends and family keep on asking. I have my scan next wednesday. Can anyone suggest why i may feel completely different this week? I don't really feel anyway near as pregnant as last week.

Thanks.

Sorry no advice for you but will give this a bump.

I am 16 weeks and get pains somewhere all the time.

If you are concerned can you call your MW and get her to quickly listen in with her doppler?

Sometimes I don't feel very pregnant, like there's nothing in there almost, but there is! :)

Hope someone comes along with better advice soon.

It sounds like the baby has just moved into a different position. It's amazing how much difference it makes! I agree though, if you're worried go to the midwife and hear the heartbeat.

ive got exactly the same im 19 weeks friday, and get the pains when i stand up sit or stretch and ive just read up its normal, as for bump could of moved lower down or to a difff posistion , i havnt got a bump yet :(

18+ 5 atm and i get the pain too... probably extra weight. my bump is huge and obvious but does change slightly day to day tbh.

i hope it's that then. I think it felt like it was low down last week and before as now it's easier to bend. I really can't wait to feel movement, it be be soon surely? X

Same thing happened to me; my baby book says that 'round ligament pain' can start in the second trimester so I am assuming it is that, especially as pain comes whenever I move.

SweetPea99 · 21/04/2011 15:54

The ligament pain can be pretty uncomfortable, but if you feel your bump has shrunk, it would be a good idea to call your midwife and go and get them to listen to the heartbeat. It will set your mind at rest - it's a long time to wait till Wednesday.

Thank goodness it's not just me! I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and I woke up this morning and it's like my bump has shrunk to half the size it was yesterday! I'm assuming it must have moved overnight? Was feeling flutters yesterday so I think it must have just being active. X
