No, I'm not having 7 babies! Is that what you thought? Seriously? I may as well be - I cant stop eating!

So far today I have had:

2 slices of toast with butter
a yoghurt
a hand full of grapes
2 pita breads with cheese and salad in them
and im now cooking rice from a packet.

and i've had about 3 cups of decaf tea.

IM STARVING!! People are gonna be noticing the weight I've put on before they notice the baby! :( Is anyone else eating for 7?!

Yep I am. PS your list is far from impressive - I got hungry watching the food come down the chute on supersize vs superskinny and suddenly wanted to eat a whole chicken! I didn't but if i had had one I would have done...

I am!
Shock

I can't believe how hungry i'm getting!

I wake up feeling like i'll die if i don't eat this minute , and if I feel hungry, it turns from a little "ooh, It's nearly time to eat something" to a full blown "i'll eat my arm if i don't get food now !" in about 2 minutes.

Me too! Due end of next week, cannot stop eating which is the polar opposite to the rest of my pregnancy as I've not had much of an appetite! Already had 2 bowls of cereal, ham and salad sandwich and a slice of cake! Can't seem to eat enough carbs all of a sudden, whereas I normally fill up on fruit and veg and can't stomach stodge! Counting down to dinner as I'm making curry and can stuff myself with rice!

How far along are you?! I remember constantly eatting through my first 6 months really otherwise I felt sick! Luckily it's tailed off a little now (I'm 34+6) and I've put on about 12kg so far I think... I found oat bars help a lot as it's meant to be a slow release of energy and make sure you drink plenty of water/ squash too. I couldn't get on with decaf tea at all so still treat myself to one proper cup in the morning and one in the afternoon... Good luck with it!

I love decaf! Decaf scottish blend I drink. Tastes exactly like normal scottish blend! I'm only 7 weeks haha! Im 11stone 3 just now. Feel a bit sick at the thought of being at least 13 stone by the end of my pregnancy!!

I'm about 7 weeks too and am constantly so hungry I feel like I'm gonna die if I don't eat now
Thing is I've not told anybody I'm pregnant yet so they must all think I'm just being a pig!

nickelbaalamb · 20/04/2011 15:18

I'm 8 weeks, so that's about right, then!

UntamedShrew · 20/04/2011 15:42

I'm also 7 weeks, very relieved to hear this non stop eating thing might be normal.

Today so far:
3 pieces toast with butter and jam
croissant (quite a small one!)
decaf latte
one of those mini pret a manger baguettes with tuna (on the way to lunch)
salmon fishcakes, spinach & fat chips
and I am currently eating a Fab lolly

OMG going to be SO fat. I am a pig at the best of times, admittedly.

LoveACuppaTea · 20/04/2011 15:52

there MUST be a way we can pig out and not put on extra weight and not harm the baby at the same time!

I haven't eaten so much today, but yesterady I had an author event, and nibbles, and I spent the whole time eating cheese-and-onion (sausage type)rolls, mini muffins, crisps and grapes.
I felt good, though! Grin

IIRC my appetite settled down a bit after the first few months- I was still hungrier than usual but could not eat for a couple of hours without feeling really ill. I say just go with the flow- its obviously natural and I'd rather put on a bit of weight than feel sick with hunger all the time. I think the key is to go back to your normal eating habits after the birth.
