Can you get pics from growth scan?

I'm having one this afternoon and wondering whether it's worth taking some money to buy a couple of pictures of baby?
Would be nice to have them after all the stress I've had over the past few days.
Do they generally offer pictures in the same way as 12 & 20 weeks?

Yes you can get pics, I had loads of scans with DD's & got a picture every time.

Good luck.

I got one from DD's but it wasn't very good, because they couldn't fit her all on screen so it was just head upto middle of torso. Got one with DS and there was even less of him on that. Don't think I'll bother this time round, just the 12 and 20 weeks one.

Haha god if she's as big as they think I'll be lucky to squeeze an arm on.
Thanks :)

Where I work we do allow patients to buy pictures of their growth scan it just depends on what sort of picture we can get as to whether or not you want it.
A lot depends on gestation-28-32 weeks then u may be lucky. Any further on than this and it is very difficult to get the classic profile sort of image with the head low down in the pelvis. Unless its breech!

Thanks, I didn't bother in the end, you couldn't really make much out, and definately couldn't have fit her on one picture.

I got one at 28 week scan but couldn't get one today for 32 weeks scan. It wouldn't have been very clear, mainly because baby's head was wedged right in my pelvis. The 28 week scan only had baby's head and tummy in it and was slightly blurred at the edges.
