Music to play to bump...suggestions?

...so I've been reading about the benefits of playing music to your bump, especially playing it repetitively so the baby recognises it / is soothed by it. My DH and I both love music, but we are really struggling to come up with some suitable stuff to play.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good 'bump music'?

What ever you like? You don't want to end up listening to something you donm't like over and over and over and over and over again :o I guess something soothing from your CD collection is a good place to start. Our bump is getting a lot of portishead exposure!

I seem to spend a lot of time playing Champagne Supernova by Oasis to my bump, quite loudly whilst I sing along - reminds me of good old Glasto.

God knows what that will lead to in later life Grin

Go for what you love I say!

Hello new mummy! Don't know if classical music is your bag, but mozart is supposed to make you more intelligent if you listen to it and you can get these great classical CDs for babies. I bought one for my sister and I think it was a good continuity for the baby when he heard it after being born. Lots of nice restful music-can't remember the name, but HMV will have summat.

My friend's mum had a record she used to play constantly when pregnant. Once my friend was born, whenever her mum tried to play the record she cried!

Hi all

I am expecting baby no 2 and used to spend hours with headphones on my belly with the first one. She loved all the baby Einstein music and loves them still! I saw a review of this product called Bellybuds and was thinking whether to treat myself! www.gadgetsandgizmos.org/play-music-to-the-womb-with-bellybuds/ Anyone used or heard of it?

Mozart is definitely a good one for brain development apparently. It's called "The Mozart Effect".
Classical music is always a good start but apart from that you play anything you like. x
