It's my 3rd pregnancy so I should know better. But is this normal? Are they contractions?
I had elective c-s for both previous DCs so I don't know what a contraction feels like...

I would say it's just a normal part of pregnancy. I had these kind of pains with both DDs and the midwife just said my cervix etc was softening/body getting ready type of thing. If youre worried though call your midwife in the morning. Smile

Sounds like braxton hicks. Mine were really painful. As long as they are not regular or getting stronger you don't need to worry. Take paracetamol. :)

Can't believe I can't remember I had these before. DD is 4 and DS is 2.5! I'll try paracetamol...

They really hurt - I complained and the midwife told me off for being a wuss but I was doubled over in pain. Hmm
