I always use non bio as it is better for sensitive skin. I use persil

Non-bio is best for skin.

You can get supermarket own versions which are fine.

cheers! wasn't sure - clearly not the domesticated type!

I use daz. I was using Persil non-bio when DD was born but we were all itching like crazy, so changed back to Daz, and hey presto, no itching!

I don't think non-bio is all that. DP used to use Fairy as he has rosacea, his skin was always really bad except the nights he stayed here and I was using biological powder on my sheets. He's had no probs with it since moving in with me.

Non-bio powder. Biological smells too strong IMO and makes me itch so didn't want to use on ds.

Liquid stuff is ok but can leave sludgy slime in your washer which isn't great for clothes, washer or baby. (mostly washe tho- it is very stressful when they break and you have a little one!)

Non bio is best for sensitive skin, but if you'll need to wash on 60 to get stains out. For stubborn stains pre-treat with a bar of soap and a nailbrush.

I have very sensitive skin and use arial and I know when it has been changed as i look as though I have fleas and always itching. IMO Persil is the worst lol

Then again everyone is different

pinkgirlythoughts · 20/04/2011 09:17

Funny that two people have said Persil non-bio makes them itch- I've used it for years as it was the only one I wasn't allergic to when younger! However, now that I'm older, I find my skin is less sensitive, so I do occasionally use other brands. I tend to find that supermarket own brands don't work as well as branded powders, you end up putting more powder in the drawer to get the same result.

KateeHasABunInHerOven · 20/04/2011 10:03

I usually use ecover as it isn't as smelly as the big brands - I grew up with it and can never get on with the harsher chemically smelling ones. Grin

Any thoughts on fairy???? Just looking on amazon and they do a subscribe feature where you can set up recurring orders of big basics such as this. Can see washing powder being a big need and I am trying to buy in before the dreaded Maternity Pay happens!!!

Fairy non bio powder was fine for me and ds. But it's much more £££ than others. I usually buy sainsbos own brand powder which is fine. Just less smelly than other brands IMO.
