7+4 weeks and sharp twinges on lower left side - normal?

Hello All

Am mentalling a bit at the mo - for the past hour or so I've been getting sharp twinges on my lower left side (at front). The only last a second or two and there's no worrying CM or bleeding. I hope it's just cos "stuff" is stretching but would be grateful for any comments / thoughts / reassurance. For the past few nights I have had very light stretching feelings in my lower stomach (uterus stretching I guess / hope) so perhaps this is just related. Anyone out there had the same sort of twinges? (note they are not v painful just sharp enough to think - ooh, what the hell was that?!) Note I had a scan ten days ago which revealed a bean with a heartbeat in the right place but am worried as to what it could be....

how did you get a scan so early?

Are the twinges coming from your ovary? Apparently the ovary that released the egg releases hormones afterwards that can cause twinges. I had the same (and started to panic!)

Sancerre - aha, good to know. Thanks and hope it's just that! No idea which side I ovulated from! Thanks for the tip.

HI I am exactly same stage as u r and I have been having that for past 3 days spoke to a midwife today cos was starting to worry and my 1st appt not for another 3 weeks.

She said as long as it's uncomfortable not sharp pains and no bleeding it's normal but have turned into a crazy person so will be a long 3 weeks.

Hope u feel better more relaxed soon
