Not had one for my previous two, but as this time round is a VBAC and there are policy issues around this I am wanting to have one in place this time. I haven't got a clue where to start, was going to hire a Doula but my DH isn't keen on that idea.
Do I just go through it with my community midwife, or the Consultant or is there someone usually attatched to the hospital who deals with this?

This is a really stupid question I know especially for a 3rd timer but I really haven't got a clue Blush

Thank you

your midwife should go through your options with you at around 35/36 weeks...otherwise a catch up ante natal class might be helpful to go through your options with you

No one has really been through it with me in much detail and i'm 38 weeks, hoping for a VBAC.

I am going to keep it simple and discuss with dh.

I do know they want to do continuous monitoring.
