Anyone else hoping the full moon does the trick?

Am 40+1 - never been here before, had the boys at 38+1 & 39+6 - and getting seriously fed up.
I know lots of people go even longer (my sympathies) but I am truly ready for this baby to get out, asap.

Anyone else hoping the 'full moon spike in labours' works for them?

I have been for a brisk(ish) walk round the block, bounced on my ball, just waiting for the boys to go to bed then I am ready Grin

(no signs though, but never mind that!)

Have tried dancing indoors - obvious mistake keeping clothes on lol!

If all this doesn't work, I may have to resign myself to being pg forever!!

A full moon! Brilliant. Am 40+5 and needing something to happen (asides from constant BH contractions).

Have done the walking and bouncing today. Will bounce some more and hope that I end up howling to the moon in pain.

Jurassic - I'll race you Grin

Been bouncing lots but not even a hint of a show. Just uncomfortable now.

A race. That's what I need, a bit of competition. Been sitting about with DC1 not too fussed about DC2 getting out but throw in a challenge, how can the wee thing resist.

Can't be assed bouncing too much but will stare at the moon a bit and think of winning.

Hoooowwll!!!!!!!!!!

bessie26 · 18/04/2011 23:10

Oh god yes, am "only" 40+3 but will be well chuffed if I don't need the sweep I've got planned for tomorrow afternoon!

Me, me me!! 39+6 today! Seriously considering naked dancing in the garden. Think anyone from the orthodox jewish community centre backing onto our garden would notice?

JustKeepSwimming · 19/04/2011 06:31

Thanks Jill - but no luck.

How long does a full moon last? just the one day or does it still count for today too?

40+2 now, no signs....

No baby for me during the night.

Found this which says the moon pulls on the amniotic sac. I did think my waters had gone this morning but was just DC1 had split a load of water where I was sitting.

Would love it if I followed this approach and it worked. A much better story than the curry/pineapple etc one.

No baby here either Sad
