Does it mean I simply can't have any soft boiled eggs or does it mean when the white is still translucent and not firm?

I love egg and toasty soldiers!

It means soft yolks.

But shop-bought eggs (kite-marked) are treated so there's no risk of listeria anymore. I wouldn't worry.

Aslong as the egg has the lion mark then it means the chicken that laid it has been vaccinated against salmonella, so it's safe to eat runny.

Yep I have heard as long as shop bought its ok. I have always eaten runny eggs. Sometime I have runny whites if I under cook my soft boiled eggs.

Bit annoying as I can't risk my next door neighbours scrummy chickens eggs.

I meant lion mark, not kite mark!
