Just found out I am about 3 weeks pregnant. Called the doctors today who told me they were fully booked till the 2nd wek of may for appointments and I could just book myself in with the midwife instead at 8-10 weeks for an hours appointment. Do I need to see the doctor as well or is the midwife sufficient?

Midwife is sufficient - congratulations!

Midwife sufficient for a booking appointment at 8-10 weeks unless you have concerns before then.

I felt the medical profession were decidely underwhelmed when I got my positives!

Take folic acid.

My doctor never did much she asked me when my last period was and prescribed me folic acid but thats it.

Was then told to book midwife app.

Congratulations :)
