Breech babies - where did you feel your babies movements?

Hi all,

So at 28 weeks my midwife thought bubs was head down, however at 31 weeks thinks that perhaps not anymore. She thinks the baby is lying diagonally, with its head to the right side of my belly button.

Im not too concerned if she is correct (and have my doubts), but trying some of the turning techniques, on all fours, pelvic tilts etc in case the baby is breech. I know at this stage it's not a huge worry but figure the earlier I can get it to turn the better!

I seem to get all my movement on that right side, where she thought the head might be so I'm a bit confused. All my big kicks are there so I assumed that it was bum with feet tucked in next to it.

If it was breech would I not be getting som big kicks down near my fanjo!? No kicks up high though in ribs etc, so in all a bit confused. Generally though all my movement has been right side, midway for the last few weeks.

Anyone with breech baby experience who could tell me where their movement was would be appreciated!

My DD wasn't breech at all during my pregnancy but I pertty much always had the movements on the right in the middle, with some in my ribs and some lower down.

It's not really an exact science working it out from movements because the hands can be as active as the feet depending on the position.

The only way to confirm it is to have a scan, which may be what they'll do if they think your LO is breech.

With 9 weeks to go the baby could still turn. My DD was also kind of at an angle but definitely came out head first!

Stick with the turning exercises though and good luck! Smile

I had a breech baby til they turned him at 37 weeks. All my movements were below the bellybutton and lots of what felt like stamping down below. He was sitting up with his head between my ribs facing to the right with one leg extended.
