Hip Pain on one side

Have suffered with hip pain before pregnancy, which I got to a tolerable level, with the help of months of physio and pain relief. It's slowly getting worse (which I expected), throughout pregnancy but isn't as bad as it was at it's worst and I think I can just about tolerate it until I've had the baby. I am worried that it'll keep getting worse again after I've had the baby (I know I wouldn't be abe to cope with a new baby and the hip pain). Would you contact the obstetric physio even though it's not a pregnancy induced thing, just something which is worse due to pregnancy? If so, would you contact them even though it is tolerable or wait and contact them only if it becomes unbearable again? Don't want to waste anyone's time, when it's something which was to be expected anyway.

Hi. Yes, I would contact a physio. They might be able to get you some exercises and let you know if there are pain relief options. Also they might be able to recommend birthing positions which reduce the likelihood of exacerbating the underlying problem.

Thanks Gruffalo, the birthing positions advice would be welcome, think I'll give them a ring tomorrow.
