overdue & bored of waiting....

anyone else?

I'm only 40+2, but DD arrived at 33+5, and we all (Drs included) expected this one to come early too so I've been ready & waiting for about 8 weeks now....

I'm obviously very pleased that this one has behaved itself & stayed in an appropriate amount of time, but honestly... it can come out now! I'm down to my last 3 raspberry leaf tea bags, have had 2 reflexology sessions, & am bored of curry - if it carries on for too much longer I might even have to contemplate having sex! Shock

(that said, I do want this baby out, just not in a medicalised way - 43 weeks would take me into May, I go back to work in August :()

DS1 turned up at 2am yesterday, 8lb 14. hurrah!

Pootletrinket · 22/04/2011 16:00

Congrats Jurassic, so you and Bessie on the same day - I must be next, no?!?!?!?

Back from long, hot stomp around a park!

4pudding · 22/04/2011 16:07

G&T sounds like a brilliant idea!

Better than curry and sex option by miles.

The problem with having had dd1 early is that is my head I'm already overdue even though I'm only 38 weeks.

Also don't want to go too overdue as it will reduce my chances of a VBAC :(

Congratulations Jurassic! 8lb 14?! What a big baby boy! The nurses at my hospital said all the babies born that night were big ones!

pootle it must be you next! I have every confidence the sweep tomorrow morning will do the trick! Grin You'd better get an early night, Saturday night could be a long night!!

LOL bessie, thanks! Although if it makes baby a bit smaller, could hang on until Sunday day time!!!!!! Baby was in wrong position to be swept yesterday, so spent last night doing Selina's positions(before the chilli and the G&T!)

Trying reverse pyschology on baby this weekend, have planned picnics and BBQs and told it to stay put!!!

Hello! Thy admitted me Sat due to BP, induced Sun, she flipped back to breech on Sat night (whch they discovered as I was 6cm), tried vaginal delivery, but it was too slow and she was in distress, but arrived safely through EMCS on Monday at 2.21am - 8lb 5oz. Came home last night, pooped but happy!!

cowboylover · 27/04/2011 15:00

LOL Bessie!! No, last night was first proper rough one;am pressing reset button today!! What about you?

bessie26 · 28/04/2011 18:18

I was feeding roughly every hour throughout the night until my milk came in, but got much better after that. The last 2 nights I've fed at roughly 11pm, 330am & 7am. DD1 has been at nursery the last 3 days, so DH has looked after DD2 while I sleep during the day. Hope you are napping whenever you can?

I got out for a walk with the pram in the sunshine this arvo - lovely! Grin

Can't really push the pram yet after EMCS, but doing pretty well in most aspects I think. I had a breast redution so can't feed her myself but milk came in yesterday (didn't at all with DD1 - wow, what pain, how long will this last!?!) but the reset worked last night, she slept well with 2 big feeds at 10ish, half 2 and half 5 - just woken up now, need to see if I can get her onto a 3 - 6.30!!!

DD1 has also been at nursery last 2 days but I've either napped or cuddled (went to hairdresser yesterday and got hairwash/dry because my hair was minging - felt much better after!).

All good fun, though, isn't it?! :o
