heart-shaped uterus

Hello everyone - following a little bleed at 9 weeks, I had a scan, and the ultrasound tech thought I probably had a heart-shaped uterus. I've got another scan now booked for 11 weeks, then the Down's one, then an appointment at the prematurity clinic at 14 to check if I could be at higher risk of miscarriage. I understand my chances will have a lot to do with the state of my cervix and on the extent of my kinky womb - I have no idea of either so far.

My baby looks fine at the moment (I'm touching on 10 weeks now), but has anyone had a similar experience of this or other uterine anomalies? The staff were positive, but I'm a worrier at the best of times, and it isn't fun to know I'm at a higher risk of late miscarriage/premature birth because of this. Breech position at birth is another factor, but to be honest I am wholly unsentimental about birth and could not give a monkey's if I land up with a c-section/load of drugs - I just want to do what I can to protect this baby

My hospital are Tommy's, who I have to say have been brilliant so far, and I daresay they'll do everything they can

I was told I had a long uterus - 18 cm! Ultra sound chap said it was not a problem but that I would not have a sticking out bump as baby has lots of room to stretch out. No mention of any other probs - hope you move forward safely - Tommys will be keeping a good eye on you no doubt - good luck
