Belt / Bump band recommendations?

I'm 16 weeks today and my normal clothes are getting a bit too tight but I don't have a proper bump yet so want to avoid buying proper maternity clothes for a while. Can anyone recommend one of those bands that you can use to adjust the waistband of your jeans / trousers so they sit below the bump without being indecent or falling down? I remember seeing a thread on here about them a while back but can't find it now. Topshop have this bump band but it looks like it's for people further on in pregnancy. I need some kind of band that will hook onto jeans and keep them up without being too tight.

Anyone got any recommendations??

Just bumping my bump band query to get the daytime traffic - anyone know the type of thing I'm talking about? I've googled and found nothing, starting to think I just imagined the thread on here about the belt-loop device for jeans...!! Confused

oh, thats good ones fuzzywuzzy i never seen it before, the price look a bit expensive for the item but i think if you got the idea from it, you can make it yourself, realy great, i will try to sew one for myself.

i have a few bando belly bands and think they are great.

They do them on ebay for a couple of quid I think. Failing that you could make your own with a hair bobble.

I'm 18 weeks and have just got a Belly Belt from Bumpsmaternity.com It's pretty good and means I can get back into my old jeans again. Hoorah! You can use it on trousers with buttons or clips fastenings, and they come with 3 different coloured material panels so your underwear is hidden as you get bigger.

For some reason, the material bits don't seem to work with my work trousers though, as they do up the opposite way around to most of my jeans (i.e. button on the left), which just ends up making me look bumpy and wierd down there! So it's worth checking which way your trousers do up before buying, if you want to get your money's worth.

Would recommend it though - much cheaper than forking out on tons of new jeans.

I used to use a hair bobble to hold the jeans together iyswim and then wear one of these over the top so it covered it up nicely

I got the Topshop one and it's fab - I'm 17 weeks. You can fold it down if it's too big and it should last you. I hope to use mine after pg to hide wobbly tummy in those early weeks.

Thanks, everyone - I had a look on Amazon for some of your suggestions - the Carriwell, Belly Belt etc - to see what the reviews were like and the belly belt one got the best reviews so I went with that. Hopefully it'll work as well for me as yours does, pammy! If not, I might try to make something myself. Still cheaper than buying new clothes for this in-between stage, I suppose...

Thanks again!
