Do I need to be worried? Really trying not to get paranoid.

It's probably your uterus starting to stretch. That would be my guess anyway.

Keep an eye out for cramping type pains, shoulder tip pain and bleeding.

BlueCrane · 16/04/2011 07:57

teacup I've had that on and off too...I mentioned it to doc on thursday and she said not to worry unless there was any bleeding with the pain

Cherrypi · 16/04/2011 07:58

What's shoulder tip pain?

Cattleprod · 16/04/2011 12:23

Pain in the tips of the shoulders. I can't describe it as thankfully I've never had it, but it is one of the signs of an ectopic pregnancy which can be dangerous if not treated quickly.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 16/04/2011 12:25

Prob stretching pains Nothing to worry about unless bright red bleeding

candr · 16/04/2011 12:29

Wouldn't stress, have had them the whole time at least a few times a week and sometimes they wake me up, am 17 weeks now and have been told it is normal as am paranoid myself. If you feel ill or bleed then go to dr. Am sure you will be fine x

G1nger · 16/04/2011 12:37

I've had them too. One thing that has helped me is to do little lower belly muscle stretches. You probably know how to do these already, but the best way of finding out is to contact your women's health physiotherapist at the hospital. Ask if they have a leaflet/booklet describing beneficial stretches/exercises during pregnancy. It's how I learned to do mine.

Cherrypi · 16/04/2011 13:13

Thanks Cattleprod. What a strange symptom.

TeacupTempest · 16/04/2011 17:13

Thanks everyone for the reassurance :)

I had these too, but I figured it was the uterus stretching eventually they just went away by themselves. Hope you feel better soon.

figgygal · 16/04/2011 17:47

Does it feel "fizzy" like you've been doing sit ups if so I have them too

pammyt1980 · 17/04/2011 17:29

I had this too - was worse very early on. Thought it was a urine infection, as it seemed to be worse when I passed water. But midwife said it was uterus stretching.
