Title is self explanatory really, I'm interested to know how soon other women got their first pregnancy symptoms. At this point in time, if I were pregnant, I would only just have implanted - I know that's too soon to tell really, but it's going to be over a week until AF is due and waiting will be really annoying so I may as well agonise myself by all those possible pregnancy symptoms in the meantime Wink

Oh I should add, I have felt a bit sick at my food this morning and fancied having a strange taste in my mouth - but as I'm also going through bereavement I can foresee each and every symptom being hugely complicated Sad

I had my IUI treatment on 23rd Nov. On 30th Nov, I said to DH, my boobs feel wierd.
Got my bfp on 9th Dec :)

Hey Dizzy. My first symptom was fatigue. The only other symptom I've had is slightly sore nipples. I felt the fatigue at 3.5 weeks (1.5 weeks after conception) but then at the same time I was praying to be pg so part of me thinks my mind concocts the symptoms. I yoyo from feeling nothing and worrying to feeling little symptoms.

The best thing to do is relax and not think about it - I wish I could take my own advice though!

There was a thread not too long ago about a lady that felt pregnant, but was only in the middle of her cycle.
She felt pregnant (can't remember the symptoms) and got her bfp the other day.
So it is possible :)

Wow thankyou, those things are good to hear - I have been waiting to get pregnant for over 3 years now, wasn't really meaning to get pregnant right now (as said, father was dying and has now just passed, so stress wise it really isn't the ideal) but once we realised that we'd actually done the deed at the perfect time (just before ovulation, which having read up about I'm sure I can feel each month, and felt the next day) - am now taunting myself with the possibility and hoping Smile Just got some ultra sensitive tests (detect levels of 10miu hcg), will see what they say.

Well, keep us posted on the outcome of your test. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Sorry about your loss as well :(

Sorry to hear of your loss Dizzy Kipper. I have to say though bereavement bizarrely seems to help conception, certainly in mine and my sister's case and through other people I know of. It made my sister and me feel a bit guilty to be honest (in our case it was at the time of our dad's diagnosis, which was completely devastating. I had been trying for 18m my sister for 7 years). I think it added to my dad's sorrow, as he wouldn't see the babies, but for my sister and me it did make the grief easier to move on from.

On a happier note, my first symptom with current pregnancy was implantation pain! I told my mum about this terrible pain I'd had and that DS1 had been laughing at me doubled over and she said 'oo implantation pain' - I poo pooed that as was only about 10 days into my cycle and absolutely not trying, but actually based on scan dates it was correct. More normal first symptoms have been getting up in the night to wee (about week 3.5 of cycle) and tingly boobs (about 3 or 4 weeks into cycle).

Good luck with the testing, don't forget to wait until first thing in the morning!

Missed period and a strange light 'tugging' feeling in my tummy.

I'm pretty sure that we conceived on 18 Sept. On 21 Sept I felt a bit queasy (not enough to be sick, but just to make me feel a bit odd) but I probably wouldn't have noticed it unless I had been looking out for it. This feeling continued on and off for the next 2 months. On 22 Sept DH had a car crash on the way to work. He was completely fine but the car was written off and when I got to work late after helping him sort everything out I burst into tears while telling everyone about it. I rarely cry, and certainly not at work, so that made me suspect that I might be pg too.

Having said that, I think that I am quite good at convincing myself about things because I want them to be true rather than because they are. The previous month I was so convinced that I was pg that I bought a pregnancy test at lunch, only to find that I got my period an hour later.

Good luck for your test.
