Yes me! Hello. How many weeks are you? I'm 22, due aug 18th. I have booked some independent Antenatal classes at a place called birth talk. What you thinking? And how are you feeling?

SavannahRose · 14/04/2011 13:11

Hey I'm 32 tomoz. Had no antenatal appointments yet. This is my second!
Due June 17th but midwife thinks I'm only going to go to 37-38 weeks!!! So not long left at all
I'm a bit bored to be honest. Finished work, set up cot sorted all her clothes out nothing left to do now!!!! I've seen that birth talk. On church lane? I live near by there
xx

Yes I live nearby too. Lovely place I really recommend it. I think I'm due to start my classes at 32 weeks. Maybe you could call and see if they have a space if you wanted to do any. If it's your second though they may just go over stuff you already know.
If you wanted to get involved in something else there is a pregnancy yoga class I go to and a new 6 week course starts may 9th I can give you details if you like?
Where are you planning to give birth? I'm planning a home birth but will transfer to the royal if any issues.
Quite lucky in Clarendon park/Knighton there's loads going on good choice of baby groups to go to if you fancy them. You're due at a lovely time you'll have the summer months with little one to walk around with, I'll be waddling by then!

SavannahRose · 14/04/2011 17:55

I live in South Knighton. So close by to Clarendon Park etc whats out there? Does the yoga help? Send me the details...
I am booked into the general. Moved from the general as ive had bad experiences there.... Is this your first?

Yes it's my first and I absolutely cannot wait! I will send you the details about yoga over a message when I get home and can get the instructor's number. I found it a little hippy and difficult to take seriously at first but it is very good for breathing exercises and exercises to do throughout pregnancy. It does help and I found the best thing is to meet other mums to be honest it has been really social. The course I did came to an end but myself and all the girls keep in touch over email and are planning to meet up soon.
I've been really, really ill too throughout-sickness is sort of under control now-still vomit every morning but nowhere near to the hell I had up to 16 weeks I honestly don't know how I coped.
There are baby massage classes at st johns church rooms, baby/toddler group at christchurch on Tues and another group at knighton library on Wednesday mornings. Birth talk also do baby socials every two weeks and you can start going before bump is born so maybe this is something you could do to kill the boredom?
I'm planning to try to get out and about lots to these things when I'm on maternity leave and just see which ones I like or not.
Do you know if you're expecting a girl or a boy? We found out and it's a girl!

DaisyFields · 15/04/2011 12:24

Oh tiny, your sickness sounds bloody rotten - I really hope that it magically disappears for you soon.

Savannah, are you feeling any better today? If not, maybe give your midwife a call just to put your mind at rest.

Off to a cloth-nappy demo in oadby in the morning - in 2 minds whether to just go for it and buy a load.

TinyDiamond · 15/04/2011 14:29

Oh really something happens in Oadby?? Was having a conversation with my friend who has a newborn yesterday re cloth nappies and whether it was worth it or not. She was saying she has not been able to find a nappy service in leicester-is there one?

DaisyFields · 16/04/2011 01:35

I can assure you that this is the only thing that has ever occurred in oadby!

Yes, fill-your-pants.com are the people that organise it and they're based on that industrial estate behind the Tigers' training ground. The demo is monthly and at brocks hill visitors' centre 10am-midday, if your friend is interested.

TinyDiamond · 16/04/2011 09:09

Sounds good yes I reckon we'll both be interested. I shall look into it. I used to live in oadby as a child, my mum is still there. So glad something is happening ;)
