Complete Placenta Previa - NO WORRIES!!!

Hi I just thought I'd write on here as I came on here months ago worried about being diagnosed with complete placenta previa at my 20 week scan.

Lots of people wrote back with their experiences, some which were quite scary and I have spent most of my pregnancy scared that i would deliver early or have horrendous bleeding. I am now 39 + weeks pregnant, have had no bleeding whatsoever and my placenta has now moved from completely covering the cervix (20 wks) to 2.2cm clearance (3 wks ago - which is just enough for vaginal delivery) to over 4 cm clearance (last week) which means it now isn't even considered to be low and I can have any type of birth plan i desire - except a c section!

I thought that if there is anyone else out there who has just been diagnosed with this, they should be aware that they shouldn't worry, just look after themselves and enjoy their pregnancy taking each week at a time. There is no point worrying about events that haven't happened. Every appointment in the first breath everyone has asked me if I have had bleeding. I was told I would definitely have a CS and I have had loads of internal and external scans. I should just chilled and enjoyed seeing my baby every fortnight. If you are in this position try to as well!

Hi Spiky,

I didn't read your previous post, but I am very glad that your placenta has moved and that you had no complications.
Good luck for the birth!
