Anyone know where to get Moses basket covers only?

Picked up a Moses basket and stand for £5 at a nearly new sale, but it comes with horrid flouncy covers (well not my taste anyway) - I'd like some plain white or cream waffle ones. Have googled and checked out old threads on MN but keep coming up with super-frilly ones. Anyone managed to buy covers / lining only in plain white or cream? Otherwise I might have to get the sewing machine out...

My mother got me a new cover - hang on and I'll ask her where she got it...

Ah, she got it off ebay

Thanks ladies - can't seem to find anything plain on ebay but will try different search terms. If anyone has any thoughts on what to call them apart from covers / lining let me know!

Feral

I got a spare one from here on ebay:

DS was a pukey puker so I've made sure I've got a spare one this time! Just got the plain white one and it's ideal.

I've just been looking into this. If you google moses basket covers only, it came up with a few websites which should point you to a google shop. Sorry can't remember the name of the seller now but she sells lovely lollipop branded covers. We've done the same as you but looking into buying covers, new mattress, etc, I don't know if it's actually cheaper to just buy a whole new basket! I've seen some for £30 on Argos which looked v nice.

can you just take the ruffles off? I bought a used one too that's yellow with horrid flouncy lace all over it but I found that the lace was just tied on and I took it off easily and now it's just a soft yellow plain cover. I'm sure you've already checked but it definitely wasn't obvious until I tried to take the scissors to it that it was easily removed :)

I know this is an old thread but it came up in a google search. I have recently come across a cover available on the internet by Tiggi and Toggi, they do covers for maise moses baskets. They are not flouncy or frilly either but v modern and crisp looking.

I found these browsing and have purchased one. The quality is fantastic.

We got a hand made mosses basket cover from Yvonne?s Curtains in Morecambe. It is a little old lady who makes them for the travelling community. If you like one offs then she is the person to see, I think she is on Yorkshire Street.
