I'm 38 weeks with dc1 and have been having period like pains but kind of in my groin and top of my thighs. Just wondered if this might be the start of something or whether more likely to be ligaments stretching?

Hi ladies,

My early labour felt like period pains that lasted a short while then disappeared, they grew increasingly more uncomfortable and lasted for longer periods of time, it then became very obvious that they were contraction. I dont recall having pains in the thighs, it could be ligament stretching, possibly baby moving further down towards the birth canal.

I suffered with SPD in the final few weeks with DD2 and had lots of pain in my groin area, not like period at all.

I hope you dont have too long to wait x

HelloR
Nothing doing over here apart from a frustrating lack of sleep! The odd niggly type pain in back and stomach and still aching thighs but no other signs. 39 weeks tomorrow...
