I am 22 + 2 with my first and this week I have just become the clumsiest person ever! Yesterday I completely tripped over my feet whilst I was going upstairs (managed to catch myself though) and this lunchtime I just lost my balance and fell to my hands and knees! Apart from being embarrassing neither fall was very bad except for a slightly scuffed knee!

wouldnt mind but i'm not even very big at all. I read somewhere that pregnant women tend to drop things more easily but does anyone else actually fall over??

I started 'throwing' pens around the classroom as they slipped out of my hands whilst teaching from about 24 weeks! Quite funny really watching the students dodge and as I never hit anyone I didn't feel too bad about it. Apparently the relaxin hormone loosens your ligaments and/or joints (not sure which) and makes things more awkward. Later your center of gravity shifts too.

More embarrasing was getting out of the car on to a COMPLETELY FLAT SURFACE and falling last week (36 weeks). My personal theory is that my feet aren't moving as high off the ground as normal so I 'scuff' the floor. This was the first time I fell though. I had about 4 different people run towards me (was at work) looking panic stricken - nice as normally (ie me non-pregnant) I'm sure they would have just laughed (I was clearly OK as got up straight away - they're not heartless!).

Glad I am not the only one! I did almost fall out of the back of the car last week too... didnt lift my foot up high enough to get over the lip of the door! Luckily my husband was standing right by me so i just fell into him! No hope for me I dont think!
