I have seriously itchy nipples this time around (15 weeks), been putting E45 on them, any other tips?

Hey dribbleface, I had the same around the same time & it drove me mad! Try putting something v.cold to relieve the initial itchiness then apply some stretch mark oil (BioOil or similar) really helped me! :)

Thanks wiiunfit, its driving me crazy! I think DS might give me an odd look when i steal his mr bump from the fridge! Ha!

You can get breast cooling pads that are used for breast feeding that go in the freezer like those eye mask things. Those might be good. I know they sell them in John Lewis, but not sure i've seen them anywhere else. Maybe boots?

No worries, it's an awful feeling. I found it worse when I was at work, kept sneaking off for a cheeky scratch Blush

Your DS's Mr Bump would be perfect though lol or breast cooling pads as Joannezipan said, I just kept a bottle of water in the fridge & took that up to bed with me, cue nice refreshing drink before bed & instant relief for my poor nipples! Lol!

Yep, bloody annoying!
I look forward to getting home from work, just I can have a good itch in peace!!
I think sitting rubbing my nipples at work would probably look worse than scratching my bum? Grin

If you can get the doctor to prescribe aveeno cream it's lovely and soothing. Apparently it's made from oatmeal. Lansinoh also works but it's very expensive.

G1nger · 12/04/2011 21:04

Mine, too. I think it's when mine get warm. I'm not at the bottom of it yet...

WiiUnfit · 12/04/2011 21:33

I think you're on to something there G1nger, mine are itching now & I'm v.warm Blush

Moisturiser that's been in the fridge would probably help too & be much cheaper than Lansinoh. :) WiiUnfit was too lazy / cheap to try Lansinoh during the worst bit of itchy-nipple syndrome

G1nger · 12/04/2011 21:36

WiiUnfit - If you're anything like me too, you've been covering your bloated boobies for weeks/months. I keep trying to remind myself to give mine air once in a while, which might help...

marie14 · 12/04/2011 21:44

hate this! nice new maternity bra's helped alot!

Hersetta · 13/04/2011 08:22

Mine itch something awful too - i'm 24 weeks and they are still going. i rub aveeno on them a couple of times a day which does help.

dribbleface · 13/04/2011 09:05

Found some kamilosan (sp?) in the cupboard and it helped alot, noticed it was 9 mths out of date though!
