is it your first? have you had your 20 week scan? i didnt feel very much movement at all till about 21-22 weeks, but i have an anterior placenta so it makes movement more hard to feel. and if its your first baby its fine to not feel anything yet.

hope someone else comes along to advise you, i am not much useSmile

With a first pregnancy it's normal not to feel movement for a while, anything up to 24 weeks is normal. Baby still has loads of room in there and if he/she is kicking towards the back or you have an anterior placenta (placenta at the front) then you may not feel it.

You could always try having a cold, sugary drink and lying down on your side for a little while, sometimes this can get baby jiggling. Early movements feel like butterflies in your tummy or little bubbles popping or like squiggles. At 20 weeks the top of your womb is roughly level with your belly button so all the movements will be below that level.

Trust me, there will come a day when baby will be kicking so hard it'll keep you awake at night :)

No, on pg no 3 and have felt first movements at approximate twenty two weeks with all three. No 3 currently pummelling me at 29 weeks most of the day!

CBear6 is absolutely right & it is completely normal not to feel anything until around 24 w, especially 1st time around.

Good luck for you scan on Thurs (I have mine this week too) & be sure to wander over to the ante-natal clubs threads. :)

I am on number 3, and 20 weeks. I havnt felt anything yet either!
I can't remember exactly when it was with the other 2. Biut think it was somewhere between 19 - 22 weeks? Smile

minibmw2010 · 12/04/2011 20:55

I was about week 23 before I felt anything and after that it hasnt stopped ..

I didn't feel anything until 22 weeks, ironically just after the scan that confirmed I have anterior placenta. The sonographer said not to worry and that I would consider it a blessing later on when the kicking got harder and the placenta 'cushioned' it. I now feel him every day and know which times to expect him to be 'busy' and when to expect him to be quiet Smile
