I am 22 weeks preg and trying to work out if my situation is normal.

When I have go out and have been walking for an hour or so, my lower back starts to ache a lot and I get cramps in my lower belly, under bump. I'm just wondering if this is normal or if I need to get checked out. I had early contraction with last preg at 30 weeks and am scared it will happen again. However if it is normal, and others are feeling this I will know I am not overreacting.
Thanks

Backache generally is completely normal, are you sure the crampy belly isn't just Braxton Hicks?? BH contractions are often worse when walking...

I suppose if you had early labour contractions with your first you know the difference though?!

If I walk at 'normal speed', I feel like this and get abdominal pain. I need to walk at a snails pace when out for a walk!
BTW, i'm 21 wks

Well the last time I had early contractions it was cramping, well BH's that would last for an hour or more at a time, that made me go to hospital and they discovered I was having contractions when I was put on the monitor. Otherwise I wouldn't really have known. A bit strange I know...
Ok thanks for your replies!

Im 21+3 and Im the same, even at snails pace tho :( even if I walk around at work it gets bad (currently signed off work for cyst pain so at least thats helping with the adominal cramps when walking)

hummmm that's tricky then. I know that BH ARE contractions, but not active labour contraction IYSWIM? I know BH can be accompanied by a cramp sensation, especially towards the end of your pregnancy.

In your case, I'm not sure then- maybe best to give the MW a call if you had complications in a previous pregnancy.

Best of luck!
