Travel insurance?

H & I have just booked our last holiday as a couple for a while... a week in Sorrento in June, can't wait!

I've been looking at insurance and most companies don't have any option online about pregnancy? Anyone found a good company to go with?

I'm also going to Milan in July so thinking I'll get an annual policy.

Insure and Go had a good policy covering pregnancy, complications whilst away and problems causing cancellations when I was pg a few years ago. They had bronze, silver and gold packages I think and I went with silver. I spent ages reading loads of different policies and at the time Insure and Go were the best, I had to download the full T&Cs though and read through. This was a few years now though so might be different now.

We just got insurance with Tesco - we have home insurance with them and the service I received when I had my bag snatched when I was out was brilliant.

We're away this week in Venice, Rome over Easter, and then our last holiday as a Mr and Mrs in Santorini in June, and as they only charge £10-15 per trip it works out cheaper for us to get it each time - we won't be going away again after June for a while I don't think!

Ravenhall have a special pregnant traveller insurance for mums and bumps up to 36 weeks www.ravenhallgroup.co.uk. You can book online and it's very straightforward.

I second Insure and Go - used them in March. I didn't have to claim, but they seemed to offer good coverage of any pregnancy complications, and also my baby, if he/she were born prematurely. I think they cover up to 32 weeks, but I could be wrong there. Their site has lots of information (just google them) but it's worth calling them with any specific questions you might have. They were very helpful :) Have a fantastic holiday!

Thanks all - I'm only 6 weeks now so fingers crossed shouldn't need to claim but want to make sure I have the right cover.

We've got an annual travel insurance with American Express, and they told I'd be covered for anything pregnancy-related.

Found Post Office really good.

I've also gone with insure and go. They automatically cover pregnancy up to a certain number of weeks. Just check the t&cs though.

Another vote for American Express. I've just taken out the annual cover for about £36. I'm 17 weeks and am heading to Egypt on the 23rd and then New York. They advised me that anything related to pregnancy or other problems will be covered. And if I have to cancel a trip due to a pregnancy related problem they will refund the holiday cost.
