Ok first of all cramping is normal, i did mc my dc2 and didnt have any pain so cant say anything about the shooting pain.
When i was pg with dd, after the mc, i remember getting cramping pains which panicked me but it was absolutely fine and normal :)

If you're getting one sided, stitch like pain then you need to get checked out immediately. It could be a symptom of an ectopic pregnancy I'm afraid. Do you have any shoulder pain too?

Cramping in early pregnancy is normal, the pain you describe sometimes isn't.

Please contact your out of hours or hospital.

WoodysHat · 10/04/2011 18:59

Sorry, I don't know anything about the blood issues I'm afraid though.

TysonSnowflower · 10/04/2011 19:01

Try not o panic - I had it too and all the google and books screamed ectopic. broke speed limits to get to hospitle to find it was UTI - Hope you are ok and yes it is extremely stressful am still getting cramps like period pains most days but apparently it is normal - good Luck

I had all kinds of pains at 6 weeks. I'd be very surprised if you could get blood poisoning from an MC. I can't see how anything could get into your blood stream.

I had MC before my current pregnancy and freaked out about most things. It's so hard not to. Everything is fine though and the anxiety does fade over time. The best thing to do is see your doctor and have the pains checked out. If there's anything to worry about they will spot it. Hope that helps!

PheasantPlucker · 10/04/2011 19:06

You won't get blood poisoning. When you have your baby in 8 months time mention to the midwives that you are rh neg, they might need to sort out an injection called Anti-D for you. (This is what happened to me)
Good luck

Imnotaslimjim · 10/04/2011 19:08

Please try not to worry too much, cramping is very normal at this stage as the egg beds in.

Re the blood issues, did you have anti-D after the last PG? If so, its less of a problem. If you didn't, please get in touch with the GP, as you need it to prevent your body rejecting this PG.

If you are worried, go to A&E and they will refer you to the EPU and get a scan done

Imnotaslimjim · 10/04/2011 19:09

sorry, I read that wrong, I now see this is your first PG. You won't have a problem til after the baby is born, then you need the anti-D to prevent issues with consequent PGs. That also counts if you do miscarry

Snowdropfairy · 10/04/2011 22:55

OK so i went to A&E and both me and newbaby are fine.

I have something else but no too serious. And i will just need Anti-D when newbaby is born.

Thanks
Goodnight

As long as you had an anti-d within 72 hours of the birth it's not an issue unless you experience any bledding and then you'll need another.

WoodysHat · 11/04/2011 10:01

Glad you got checked out, and that all is ok with baby. Always best to play on the safe side IMO.

TysonSnowflower · 11/04/2011 12:08

Thank goodness, glad you and baby are fine :)
