My wife n I are planning on having our baby here as we have been seeing the specialists for sometime.

Any thoughts on actually giving birth here? Seems pretty chaotic but professional.

I know parking is a nightmare (we can't do public as out in the sticks). May have to get a cab. Not sure how to bring baby n tired mum home again though.

Thanks

My sister did and she had a great experience. I've just registered there too for later in the year. Agree though the parking is rubbish!

It is chaotic. Post natal care pretty awful, labour and delivery amazing. Pretty standard for big teaching hospitals I think.

The wards are large and Victorian and the midwives stressed. Be demanding If you need help breastfeeding as they aren't the most forthcoming.

I chose it for my two because of the amazing special care baby facilities if anything went wrong (last one 3 years ago).

It's part of Queen Charlottes, which I'd one of the best units in the country. Perhaps you should have a visit there too to see?
