I'm looking for an alternative to bottles and bottles of water and fruit juice. Lately I've been drinking at least four small bottles of water a day and two or more big glasses of any kind of fruit juice appart from orange juice (don't know why but it tastes horrible to me at the min!!)
BUT with the heat this afternoon I am even more thisty than usual but can't take anymore water!
Any ideas? x

I'm sipping on Liption peach iced tea with lots of ice. V refreshing!

DomesticGoddess31 · 08/04/2011 15:02

and its just occured to me, I wonder if it would taste even better with cucumber, strawberries and mint in it..am thinking its the right colour that I might be able to fool myself into thinking I'm drinking Pimms??!?

Lemon and lime squash here, or Rubicon Mango.

LoopyLoopsChupaChups · 08/04/2011 15:04

Oh god you've got me thinking about Pimms now.

There is a non-alcoholic drink that is very similar, can't remember its name though.

I like your thinking DomesticGoddess31!!

Lemon and Lime squash sounds good

ooooh yeah Rubicon pomegranate is lush too.

I also drink quite a bit of ginger ale or ginger beer (add lime and lots of ice for a bit of a moscow mule taste about it)

Am also working my way through the expensive adult soft drink section of the supermarket. Have bottle of 'Feel Good' gently sparkling cloudy lemon and gently sparkling raspberry and passionfruit in the cupboard to try next.

I drink loads of water but it does get boring doesn't it.

Renaissance227 · 08/04/2011 15:22

I love ginger beer but I think I overdosed on that a little when I was really sick a few weeks ago. It used to give me brief relief so I had bottles of it! Now it just tastes too sweet and fizzy!

I like the sound of pomegranate juice. Is it sweet? Don't like mango because it's too sweet!

Water does get very boring.

I do like the sound of cloudy lemonade!

coconut water! tastes yummy and its good for you. Its a natural rehydration drink and its got plenty of vitamins and minerals. Not sure how easy it is to get hold of in the UK though.

Renaissance227 · 08/04/2011 15:26

I like the sounds of that MummyAbroad but I've never seen it. What country do you get that in?

the rubicon pomegranate juice is sweet but not too sweet in my opinion. You can buy single little cartons of it if you don't want to waste money buying a big carton of something you might hate.

Renaissance227 · 08/04/2011 15:32

Ok. Thanks DomesticGoddess31

I don't like oj when pregnant. But oj mixed with equal parts water, I love. I don't know why. It's really refreshing. Even better if it's got cranberry in it too.

Rocks organic squash is sharp and lovely and homemade lemonade.

MummyAbroad · 08/04/2011 15:34

I live in Costa Rica, I drink it straight from the coconuts! It is really really nice and has been helping a lot with morning sickness too. You can actually buy it in bottles in the supermarkets here too, so I wonder if it is exported?

MummyAbroad · 08/04/2011 15:37

Ok, so Google says you can get it in Tescos, Sainsbury's, Ocado and Asda!

Renaissance227 · 08/04/2011 15:43

Thanks MummyAbroad, I'll definitely try that now!
