Im 20+5 and although im looking at the latest pictures from my scan, and after seeing the scan itself today it still doesnt feel real.

I have an anterior placenta so have yet to feel anything...

When did it start to feel real to you all? Was it a case of one day you thought 'shit i have a little person inside me'

Movement was the big one for me. With all three pg I felt movement after twenty weeks. Very exciting when it happens.

Anterior placenta here too this time and the last time. The last time i worried a lot more as i'd never had so little movement but this time I knew what to expect so was barely feeling anything at even 23 weeks (but knew everything was fine by scan and mw).

Im 36 weeks on Friday and it still doesnt seem real! But from about 30/32 weeks you can start to feel actual body parts kicking and that definitely helps!

I just had my first scan (19 weeks) and that has made it so real for me. Before then, I didn't really feel pregnant and had voiced some concern to my husband that I didn't feel very maternal. Everything has completely changed since my scan and I feel completely overwhelmed by the love I feel for my LO growing inside. It was just amazing to see him moving around, sucking his fingers etc. This was definitely the moment that made it real for me!

Umm 20 week scan made me believe it was more likely to happen and then 26 weeks ish when I started feeling proper movements ect but still now at 35 weeks I cant believe it when I catch my reflection and realise its me with the bump!

Last week, with the first (properly) identifiable kicks. Wasn't sure what I was feeling before that. Am getting beaten up from the inside now.
Bump has doubled in the last three days, I've gone huge all of a sudden (am 21 wks today).
Still can't recognise myself in the mirror :)

Hi Apricot, how's those spots? Bloody hormones :)

Hasn't real felt 'real' til this week!!!!

I have just finished my NCT course at almost 37 weeks and now it seems very real. I think it's because the classes involved my DH, and were quite scary at first- plus we talked in detail regarding birth and life post baby, that seemed to really bring it home!

Even though we have finished the nursery and I have packed my hospital bag, I still can't quite believe or comprehend that I will be someones mum in 3 weeks!!?? I suppose it's impossible to 'comprehend' until it happens!

Good-luck and enjoy your pregnancy...Smile

Everytime I look at scan pics and remember watching my LO trying to suck his thumb on the screen it feels more real. It helps me visualise him floating around in there.

apricotears · 07/04/2011 07:25

Hi Jenni, the spots are still there! Haha- good memory you have! There are a a select few that I am convinced have taken up permanent residence on my face.

In regards to your post, maybe you have a budding little boxer inside! Ah, the joys Wink

WinterLover · 07/04/2011 08:02

Ah thanks ladies you've all made me feel loads better now. So far other than growing boobs I've had no pregnancy side effects, so i think thats contributed to me feeling like there isnt anything in there haha

I had my 38 week midwife appointment yesterday, apparently I'm due to have a baby in a couple of weeks Shock
