Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can offer any pearls of wisdom / support on this one. I went to see my Community Midwife on Thursday & measured 26+5 at 27+3 so nothing major at the moment but enough to get me worrying! :(

I already have scheduled growth scans due to pre-pregnancy high bp thus increased risk of pre-eclampsia. First one is tomorrow (28+2) and at 32 weeks. I'm worried about what they may say, anyone else had this so early?

Also seeing my GP tomorrow & ante-natal Consultant to see if they want to sign me off work due to stress issues + high bp + risk Confused The situation at work at the moment is not a nice one - quite a few colleagues have been made redundant & have now left, some are on fixed term contracts due to end this year & others (myself included) have gained permanent contracts which is great but are now being treated like traitors by those not so lucky IYSWIM?

Can anyone offer any advice / reassuring comments?

Thank you local, went to my GP yesterday morning & he's signed me off for 4 weeks when we will then review it. It is a huge weight off my mind if I'm honest.

Update from my scan & Consultants appt - baby's growth isn't where it would be in an ideal situation (femur length and abdominal circumference are behind a week and a week & a half respectively) but it's okay at the moment as it's still in their "safe parameters" on the graphs, my Consultant told me it's when it goes below the bottom curve that they worry.

Proteinurea was ++ which obviously isn't good but so far my bp is holding in the 'normal' range thanks to the medication. I'm going back in 2 weeks (30 weeks) for another growth scan, a scan to check the blood flow (any experiences of this anyone - what does it involve .etc???) and another meeting with the consultant.

They're going to try & get me to 34 weeks before delvering early (my health, baby's health & baby's growth permitting). Can anyone offer any reassuring words about 34 week (or earlier!) babies? :(
