Very tender pubic bone

Hi! Due on Friday with second child. Hips have felt a bit weak for the last few weeks but today they've felt worse and pubic bone is very painful. Does anyone know if this could be a sign that things are moving along (know that area is always bit tender as softening up for birth) or like hip pain could it just mean I'm going to be in pain till I give birth (was induced at 2 wks with my son, not sure I can cope with this for that long!)?!

Also any tips if I am going to have this pain for a while? Not moving is not an option with a 2.8yr old!

Thank you v much in advance!

My pubic bone felt like it had been kicked from around 20 weeks - I think it's linked to the ligaments loosening and the extra weight. I was sent to a physio who "cracked" it back into place and then given a support belt - not as horrendous as it sounds.

Good luck

Sounds like SPD...

Stand with back against wall and roll forward keeping bottom of back in contact with the wall. and sleep with a big pillow between your legs.

It'll probably get worse but it disappears with the birth.

Thank you both v much for tips. PS, poor you having it from
20 wks! Will do that exercise and then talk to midwife for physio appointment when I see her on Fri. Damn it doesn't mean things moving along!
