Hi,

I'm sitting at work and I've been having some really bad pains around my ribs and waist, and some waves of cramping further down (and I know this is TMI) but I've had the runs today aswell..... Should I be calling my midwife to get checked or should I leave it?

Has anyone else had anything like this? Getting scared cause this is my first and I don't want anything to be wrong.

xx

You don't say how many weeks you are. What you describe sounds more like stretching pains where your uterus is expanding - miscarriage pains ime are more like period pains kind of in the ovary area, not near the ribs or waist, and are accompanied by bleeding. Call your midwife for reassurance though.

No idea what it could be. How many weeks are you?
Def worth a call, even if it just puts your mind at rest. Let us know how you get on.

I'm 9 weeks today, just don't want to be a pain cause the midwife did say that quite often the cramping pain's are just everything stretching.

I just don't want to be a hassle as bad as that sounds.
