Fizzy sensation under right side of ribs

Over the last couple of weeks (I am 24 weeks) I have noticed what I can only describe as a fizzy or bubbling sensation around the right side of my ribcage. It seems to only happen when I am sitting upright, at my desk for example. It stops when I put my hand on it, and is not painful at all, but is a bit irritating. Anyone else have this? Or know what it is? I don't think it is the baby moving, as that feels quite different.

Hi RingEir!

I'm 14 wekks + 4 days and often get a pain under my right boob! But I got it before being pregnant too and went to the docs yesterday who told me it sounds like indigestion or a gallstone. I wouldn't worry too much, it just sounds like your tummy's working over time to digest your food! xxx

You have perfectly described how I first felt ds at about 18 weeks.

Hi Ladies, thanks for the replies. I have since done a bit of googling and come across quite a few people who have the same symptoms. The main explanations given are: muscle spasms (don't think so), squashed nerve endings (the most plausible) and - this is the best one - it's the baby peeing against your ribs! I don't believe it, but it's kind of cute:)
