Hi

This is baby 3 for me and as I'm a lazy sod I still have quite a relaxed muscle tone around my tum since last pg.

I'm only 8 weeks pg on Wed but DH and boss(who knows for other health reasons) sa yI've got a proper little bump. I've claimed stress related IBS (see mention of other reason!!)

This is normal? Yes? Or could I actually be much more pg? Possible. My GP referred me for a dating scan but mentioned a suspect LMP so hospital has taken the dates from that and will see me at 12 weeks cos that is when they do dating scans! Hmm

I had a bump at 8 weeks - everyone said it's because I'm on dc #2 (3 others are pg and I'm beating my boss in the bump stakes - she's 5 weeks ahead too).

Apparetnly it's common to show sooner if you've had previous pgs. For me it turned out I'm expecting twins. Now I'm 16 weeks I look 25 weeks! (I love it as it's a bump so I've missed the looking chubby stage completely).

I had a bump at 7 weeks with dc1. Was very, very slim and have a short body/shallow pelvis so I suppose my uterus just had less room to grow into.

Don't worry, it slowed down.

I'm on my first pregnancy and was overweight to begin with so had a bit of a tummy already, that firmed right up and has been hard and pressing on my clothes since about six weeks. I still haven't gained any weight but there's a definite bump there now, already having to wear my jeans unbuttoned at 11 weeks!

i think this is quite normal for dc3

thanks all. my boss has convinced me that I'm having twins! As this pg is an "extra" one to the big life plan, two to four kids might take a bit of getting used it. But so be it, if it is.

I was perfectly content that it was flabby tum + pg#3, until boss saw me and exclaimed how pg I look.

I am about 9 weeks and on my 3rd and I have a definite bump - am in my maternity clothes already as can't button my jeans or trousers.

Twins run in our family too and I am 41 so more likely to have them - personally I think I am having one and have just got a tum! I haven't actually put any weight on though.

My 7 week bump turned out to be triplets. Grin
