i have been a migraine sufferer for over 20yrs. Ordinarily on beta blockers but cannot take through pg.

what normally works for you? do you suffer outside of pg? i've been prescribed codeine to take as my migraines did peak badly several weeks ago, but make me so so sick its hard to know what to dofor best. Bed dark room is all that works for me and sleep.

I have had them before, but rarely. I usually take Migraleve, which doesn't get rid but does help. Paracetamol hasn't made a slight bit of difference. Bed and dark room has relieved things a little this evening, but I can't do that when I have DD. Gos antenatal consultant appointment tomorrow, maybe they will help.

Thanks. :)

I have had migraines for over 20 years and had them throughout my last 2 pregnancies and nothing helped. I now see a homeopath for my migraine and at 33 weeks pregnant have not had to resort to any other medication, not even a paracetamol Smile. Migraine is a crippling condition and I hope that you manage to find some relief x

i was about to resort to homeopathy too, but they have eased and now if im super quick in taking the paracetamol i can at least function til the kids go to bed. You have my sympathies they are bloody awful.

I really suffered at the beginning of my pregnancy. I never have before. I used that forehead stick you wipe over your head. It tingles but it does help. If that didn't help (if i was at home) i'd put a cold flannel on my head take a couple of paracetamol and lie down.
