went to my gp today and she gave a due date 30 days off from all the calculators i have tried online!

they were all going by my last period... is it possible that the gp read the little dial wrong?

It is possible, yes. When was your last period?

mamaesi · 05/04/2011 09:36

23rd of feb... start of last period.

but my cycle was perhaps a little long (maybe 30 or so days) as I had stopped breastfeeding and it wasnt quite sorted yet

online said I was due 30/31st of november... GP said 1st of november?
so confused...

I shouldnt worry too much as when you have your 12 week scan they will date the pregnancy then.

I knew my due date was 19/08/11 but from an early scan etc they dated me about 2 weeks later.... at thee 12 week scan i was put back to 19/08/11

Congratulations btw Grin

It just means you'll get your scan earlier!

The midwives will work it all out again when it comes to doing scans etc.

FWIW, the start date of my last period was 12 Jan (i.e. roughly 6 weeks before you) and my due date is 19 October. So yes 1 November seems far too early and I agree 30 November sounds more like it (I am doing this all from my dates rather than any calculator by the way!)

Good luck

Sounds like a slip of the tongue/eye by the doc and he/she meant to say 1st December. That must be right.

BTW the online calculator is being very innovative if it thinks your baby is due 31st November!

Also BTW, you don't really want the hospital to give you your scan early as it will be too early to do some of the checks and you'll just have to go back. I'm sure, though, that as long as your last period date was noted down correctly by your doc then they will get that right. Worth just being alive to that though when your scan date comes through.

yes this is my second so i am aware that the scan will be the more accurate. my first was pushed back a week, but I went into labour 10 days early, more in line with my dates..

but we are talking 30 days difference! i am worried like you said east egg that the scan wont show enough because of the mess up...

lets see when I get my scan for....
