20-week scan

Just had our 20-week scan and the sonographer told us we were probably having a girl but the baby had her(?) legs closed. Don't mind either way and am really excited to be told our baby looks OK but should I go shopping or are they ever wrong?

Sorry, but I know someone who was told they were having a girl and it turned out to be a boy - more common for mistakes that way around than the other way.

Perhaps you can have a private scan to confirm either way?

They are often wrong so don't splash out. We didn't bother finding out with dd1 as they kept making mistakes for friends. This time we're finding out but only as it's ID twins so I figure they can check both and the chances of getting it right are higher.

Hello,
Thanks for your replies. Really don't mind because we have beautiful 2DDs and they really want a sister, and we're happy, too. Didn't bother finding out with our first two but don't have any baby clothes. Guess I'll stick to neutrals, just in case but there are some very cute girl's clothes in the shops...Grin.
