Hi so i am 14+5 and have had thrush since thursday. went to DR and he gave me the canasteen pessire thing. used it on friday night, still have mild itching and this morning had small amount of blood when i wiped my self, have had even smaller amount just but am still worrried, any one else had this?

I would speak to your mw if you have had blood - just in case. I am sure it is nothing to worry about but better to check it out. I also have thrush and don't think the pessary thing worked for me as I have itching still and lots of discharge (sorry TMI!)

I will speak to m/w just just worried about the blood i was worried about how much info to put on lol x my mum says i am wiping too much. will speak to m/w tomorrow x thanx and hope you feel better soon x

It is possible that when you inserted it you may have bumped the cervix a little too hard or pushed it too far back and nocked the cervix. I was very worried about this in my 10th week as had to insert one and googled it first. Doctors advise to not insert it too close to the back incase you bruise the cervix.

I may be wrong though, google does not have the answers to everything. Good luck with it and I hope all is well.

I suffer with thrush unfortunately more than the average woman so would advise you guys to try inserting some natural, non flavoured, bio yogurt up there as this will balance out the overgrowth of bad bacteria. It is also good to eat yogurt very regularly as thrush is in the gut and if it is persistent it may be worth treating it internally there by eating a pot of yogurt at least every other day till it clears up.

I had bleeding as well after and my MW said it was because of the grainy texture inside caused me some errosion but it soon settled down.

I went back as it didnt get better after 7 days of the initial treatment so they gave me another one and fingers crossed that has done the trick this time.

I have recently also used the canasteen pessire and found the next morning I had a huge amount of pinkish discharge (TMI sorry!!) but was told this was to be expected. This was about 3/4 days ago and I can't say I've noticed much improvement!! But speak to your MW, she's the only person who can put your mind at ease x

Hi all m/w said go see dr so have to wait till morning! she a waste of space !!!!!!!! the burning still there no more blood but a greeny dishcharge (sorry ) so def going see dr in the morning. also feel very damp i am so not having fun at the mo have a cold this with thrush and woke up this morning with a sti on my eye!!!!!!!!!!!! am reasy for bed it's only 7;15

Been the Dr and she said that i have the same as cowboylover hubby gone ott done the ironing sorting kids out Hmm how long will it last? She has also swabbed for infection. still feel pants am going for a sleep x
