Baby burrowing into my left hip??????

I am currently 37+3 and for a few weeks its feels as if the baby has been burrowing into my left hip. I have been assured that the baby is head down and quite low, but not yet engaged.

I have been doing all I can to sleep on my right side to try and move it over and it seems to have done so, but I can still feel pressure on a bone in my left hip/pelvis area. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm hoping this baby doesn't have super wide shoulders........Shock

I've got exactly the same sensation at 34 weeks. Had a late scan yesterday and baby apparently normal size, weight, position and everything else so don't worry, it might not mean you have a super-wide baby!
No solutions for stopping the discomfort though, sorry....Not long left to endure it hopefully!

I am getting body part movements near my hip bones(very strange sensation), think it's normal towards the end as baby is in a much lower position. I am almost 36 weeks, and MW told me baby is 2/5th palpable, so 3/5th engaged....Your baby might be starting to engage, and that's why you are feeling concentrated movement in your left hip.......Smile

Mine is Frank breech (legs straight extended alongside face) and I have the same feeling in one hip at 34 weeks - Very odd! But baby does tend to favour the side that the sensation is on!

Left hip grinding here too. From scan last week babe is head down, his back to my right hand side(don't know the correct terminology, feet somewhere near my ribcage on the left, 4/5 palpable.

MW said the grinding could be a shoulder, which is worring as he must have huge shoulders! Eeek!

Ooo, I've got this as well, have had it for weeks. Feels like the baby is using my left hip as a leaning post!

My MW mentioned something about there being a natural tilt to the uterus in the majority of women, maybe that's why it's always the left?

(I'm quite glad to know it's not just me though!)

Thank you, its good to know its not just me. MN is great for that.

Beetlebaby - Its interesting about the tilted cervix bit, when I last had a smear test a couple of years ago the nurse said I had a very tilted cervix.

Lets hope none of our LO have broad shoulders! xx
