hello, wondering if anyone has had an ectopic pregnancy? i had a laparoscopy on sunday night to treat an ectopic pregnancy. am wondering is it normal for it still to be sore? i just want it to go away so that i can get back to 'normal'. was told i would be over it in a week or less.

hi,sorry I can't help you as not experienced an eptopic pregnancy..I have had mc's so I know how you feel from that side of things.
I presume that you will be a bit sore as it's still an operation iykwim...It may help to read this
Sorry I can't be of help but hopefully someone with more experience may notice this thread. It may also put your mind at ease to speak to your hospital? Good luck ttc in the future...things do get better. x

i had an ectopic in nov last yr. i had an emergency one with full laparotomy and stayed in hosp for a week afterwards. I also had a laproscopy in sept this yr for ovarian adhesion caused by the ectopic and it took a lot longer to heal than they said, i got an infection in the belly button stitch site, even now i still feel a little sore at the stitch site.
HTH
take care,

Hope things get better soon. I also mc each time just months before christmas...I am thinking of you. Chill out over the next few months and allow your body and yourself time to get better and stronger. If you still want to go down the baby route then I hope your life will be very different this time next year....I know mine is... {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Hi. I had laparoscopy on Saturday to remove big ectopic pregnancy. Had posted message on different thread (EPAU shows empty uterus but high HCG count). I have four incisions and they are hurting like blast at the moment. I'm taking paracetamol instead of painkillers because the painkillers were making me woozy. In a way also "nice" to know where it's hurting so I know when it's getting better. Take your time - as my Consultant said, it's not just the body that needs to mend. If you want to email separately, let me know. Jill x
