Hi,

I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks, am now booked in for Friday with the midwife and am starting to get anxious.

I've been having cramping, but no bleeding so I'm hoping everything's ok. But I've been feeling queasy all the time, boobs are the biggest and sorest they've ever been, Mood swings have made my DP think I've got a multiple personality diorder aswell.

Is there any way to know everythings going ok? Just freaking out a bit. It's my first one, but I think my constant internet searches for the past few weeks and reading all the horror stories have made me really paranoid. Also a bit worried that the midwife will turn round and tell me there's no baby when I go....

Anyone else had this?

xx

From what I've heard cramping is perfectly normal. And my midwife told me that all the time I've got sore boobs I must be pregnant! Congratualtions! :-)

sounds fine to me. I had all of those and was fine at 11week scan

Hi, congratulations!
I am 17 weeks pregnant and still get little cramps on an almost daily basis, tweaks and twinges etc, I think its just all part and parcel of the experience. My boobs also were (and still are sometimes) so bloody sore i practically lived in a sports bra for ten weeks - try lying on your back and lightly applying some cool aloe vera gel onto them - be warned your OH may or may not find this arousing. Wink
Mine were so sore it even hurt to shower and it had me in tears many a time, I couldn't believe they were ever going to feel normal again but they will I promise...

Hi!
I had the same thing - am now 26 weeks and all going well.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!

That's a 'yes' from me, too. By 14 weeks, I'm still getting the little cramps etc as Gaby and others describe.

Thanks everyone, I know I'm probably overthinking everything, just my whole body feels a bit wrong if that makes sense, the cramping and the, sorry for tmi, discharge is driving me mad, especially when I'm checking my pants every 5 mins. I thought it was my period coming back just there aswell. So weird. :(

Bring on the scan though, can't come soon enough.

Everything sounds normal to me Smile.

It's also normal to worry so don't beat yourself up about it too much.

Congratulations!

I had loads of cramping with my first pregnancy. Apparently it's actually one of the early signs of being pg as it's everything stretching as the baby grows. In my subsequent pregnancies it hasn't been so pronounced- think everythings bent out of shape :)

daimbardiva · 30/03/2011 19:58

These all sound like perfectly normal pregancies - and it's good you're feeling these things as it shows things are happening.

IT's also totally normal to have these worries - I've worried at both my 12 week scans that there'd be nothing there, but there was :)

Phew! Just have to say it's such a relief to see all the symptoms I'm experiencing told here by others! I'm six weeks and counting (and a first timer) and the cramping has got me paranoid.

Then my nipples stopped being sore and that was almost worse than when they were sore - I know I shouldn't complain! But I'm starting to think paranoia is the first sign of pregnancy! Wink
