Do kicks/movements taper off after 30 weeks?

I'm 30+3 today and have definitely noticed a lot less movement over the last couple of days. Before that over the weekend I noticed I was getting movement or kicks in different areas to before so I'm assuming he has moved into head down position? Does this then equal that I'll feel less movement as he has less space or should I be worried that I'm not feeling as much anymore? Many thanks.

For me when my boy swung round and his back was at the front and head down I couldn't feel much as his hands and legs were pointing towards my back but when he swung the other way as he was posterior in the end, I felt more. I also found with both my babies as they got bigger and had less room to move I didn't feel as much, but if you're worried, please see your mw and have her listen to the heart beat etc.

No they don't. It could be positioning like teaandcake says. It would be best to get checked out. It needs to be at the labour ward so they can monitor movements rather than a community mw with a doppler.

i'm 30 + 2. i've just been to the maternity ward to get my baby monitored as baby wasn't moving as much over last couple of days. (i was monitored for about hour and a half. it only really started to kick when they gave me water). everything is fine but they did say don't leave it so long if you're worried, so if you have a day where it's gone a bit quiet i'd say go and check yourself out at the hospital. they said that's what they are there for.
