Burning type sensation in groin

Anyone else get this? I'm 37wks & have been getting an occasional hot sensation on one side for a couple of

I worked out last night that it's worse when I sleep with a pillow between my legs (so will stop that!) but during the day, I THINK it happens after I've bent over to pick something up.

I'm wondering if it's an SPD kind of thing & if I should try to get a physio appointment, and if there's anything else I should be avoiding?

Are you sure it isn't mild contractions?! You are clinically full-term! I gave birth at 36+5 and the only way I can think to describe my (intense) contractions was like my groin was burning! Could be BHs?

I get this and sometimes turns into a stabbing pain. It's round ligment pain, from the ligament that surround the uterus. I'm 32 wks and have had it for about a month. Sympathies, it's not nice.

I'm 35 wks and noticed a sort of mild burning sensation in my right hip over the last couple of days. Baby seems to like my right side and I wonder if its just the extra weight on that side of my pelvis starting to take its toll. Seems to be worse if I'm sitting down for too long.

oooh contractions macaroon? I had DD at 33+5 and just remember having dull stomach-ache to begin with - I guess it's all going to be very different at 37wks??!

Am going to try sleeping without the pillow between my legs tonight in the hope that I get a better nights sleep - I'm not sure if its the discomfort waking me up, or if I just notice it when I wake up needing a wee - when I rolled over to get up last night, it started throbbing & was really painful, but disappeared quite quickly....

LilP mine is on my left hand side, which is where baby is too.

I spoke to the maternity physio today & she said it was probably ligament pain as pip suggests & as I'm near the end, there's not much that can be done - which would suggest to me that if you guys have it earlier they might be able to help?

Many thanks for your replies, it's nice to know I'm not alone! (although I am sorry to hear you are suffering too!)
