I just need to cheer myself up really, I've put on a stone. I already have a DD who is wonderful but exhausting. I know I'm eating sweet things because im so tired and I need the energy. Or maybe it's because im having another girl?!

Can anyone help me with healthy snack ideas. Thanks!

I don't know how much i've put on, don't wanna weigh myself til after as it will stress me out but i think it is more than a stone
cottage cheese is my fave healthy snack but tbh have been eating quite unhealthily so that is probably why have gained, i just tend to take it as an excuse to eat what i want unfortunately

Hi CJ2010 ... don't worry - I've put on more than you! (can't quite bring myself to confess quite how much just yet ...)

Were you really slim pre-pregnancy?

I'm trying my best to eat 3 apples a day instead of 6 biscuits! :)

x

CJ2010 · 28/03/2011 17:19

No I wasn't slim pre DC2 preg -was still carrying baby weight from DD1, 14 mths old now.

I wont talk weight in actual stones (too depressing, but I am a man's weight, never been a dainty lady weight!!) but was size 14/16 pre DD1, size 18 after DD1 was born and never got out of the 18's. Now preg again!!! So no, never been slim!!!

I've just eaten a muffin filled with cream - well done with the apples!!!

I don't do scales, but I have gone up from a 36DD to a 38FF! This is where I tend to put my weight on.

I dropped 3 dress sizes just walking a lot after DS2 so I have every daith in myself that I can do it again :)

otchayaniye · 28/03/2011 17:55

None. I throw up once a day (not all of my evening meal though). At least I've stopped losing weight.

But with my first I put 4 stone on and I am a dainty 8-10 so you can imagine how different I looked. My mother flew out to see me and was aghast.

otchayaniye · 28/03/2011 17:56

Boobs not bigger but then I am still occasionally bfeeding a toddler (and yes, it hurts)

JenniL1977 · 28/03/2011 18:08

A stone is alright, don't worry too much.

Well i am here to make you feel much much better! I am due end of July and put on almost 2stone - yes it is postively ridiculous! People keep telling me how neat i am??? certainly don't feel it! I did show from the get go though so I assume (hope) its a lot of water. Also so far all at the front I am quite tall and slim generally but I would say on course for at least 3 and a half stone through whole pregnancy eeekkk! Must say i have not been holding back though if i want it i will have it and get it off after.

MrsVidic · 28/03/2011 19:20

I've put on 17 pounds so far, I'm due the fourth. Was size 10 to begin with and still am in mat clothes. Don't beat yourself up about it, The weight falls off within the first 3 months :-)

wheresmytractor · 28/03/2011 19:56

I have put on about 17 pounds too, and am due August 10th. I put on 3 stone with ds1, 4 stone with ds2 but after ds2 i went to Weight watchers and got it all off and back to pre ds1 weight so i know i can do it again. Quite nice to eat what i want and not worry... WW is fab especially when breastfeeding x

LadyGoneGaga · 28/03/2011 20:15

I'm another end of July - well over 2 stone here - eek! I lost it all again last time though and was a size 10 again - breastfeeding def helps!

MrsBloomingTroll · 28/03/2011 20:52

Due mid-August, DC2, have so far put on 6-9lbs. Bearing in mind that I only put on a stone in total with DD1, and I'm small, that's quite a lot for me.

I am eating soooo unhealthily this time, with the odd vitamin, vegetable and piece of fruit thrown into the mix, but (all being well) this will be my last pregnancy and then I'll be dieting for the rest of my life, so am cutting myself some slack.

Don't worry about it too much - the stress isn't worth it.

I haven't put any on yet, I'm 19+5. I was a healthy size Pre pregnancy, not fat but not stickthin either. My boobs have gone from a 34g to 36hh though and feel huge.

hayesgirl · 29/03/2011 14:43

I am 20+2 weeks with my first and I've put on about 8lbs. I think that most of that is boob though! I was a very slim size 10 pre-pregnancy with very small 34B boobs - I didnt fill a bra properly previously but am now overflowing!!! No idea what size they are now havent got round to getting them measured for a new bra yet!

I've been a bit naughty with food but my appetite pre-pregnancy was massive - would match 6ft 4 husband portion for portion - whereas now I cant eat as much as before. I'm still going to the gym regularly and doing pretty much what i was doing before.

coastgirl · 29/03/2011 14:50

I've put on about 18lbs! Due the 8th. Was a size 6-8 before and have gone from a 32a to a d-cup. Can't quite believe how much it is; although I have had an outrageous appetite and was told only yesterday that apart from bump and boobs, I don't seem to have put weight on at all. I am wearing size 6 non-maternity trousers (albeit open with bump band) and size 10 non-maternity top today so I can't be all that huge! Still pretty horrifying when I look at the scales though, especially when I read about people who have gained so much less.

rosalux · 29/03/2011 19:09

Oooh yes. Last time I looked (a couple of weeks ago) it was about a stone and I haven't looked since. It's definitely not gone down though. When I went for my 20wk scan yesterday I was certainly 'rounder' than many other women I saw waiting (and they couldn't all have been there for the 12 week one). Ho hum. As long as baby is okay I'll be okay.
